Just minutes into Cuomo Prime Time Monday night, Chris Cuomo went on a tirade, lambasting President Trump’s medical advisor, Dr. Scott Atlas. On Sunday, after new COVID restrictions were announced in Michigan, Atlas posted a tweet telling people to “rise up.” On top of that, just a short while before Cuomo came on, Atlas appeared on Fox News where he urged families to get together for Thanksgiving, despite the pandemic surging across the country. Cuomo pointed out that Atlas doesn’t actually have any pandemic experience as his area of expertise is radiology, and excoriated Atlas for giving guidance that will put people in danger, especially since the ones who might listen to him and have large family gatherings are the same ones who have refused to take safety precautions throughout the pandemic.

CHRIS CUOMO: Dr. Atlas, OK, a guy with no pandemic experience. He literally would know more if he stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

KYLIE MAR: On "Cuomo Prime Time" Monday night, Chris Cuomo laid into Dr. Scott Atlas, an advisor to President Trump on COVID-19, for a tweet he posted on Sunday telling people to rise up, following the announcement of new coverage restrictions in Michigan.

CHRIS CUOMO: What kind of doctor would tell people to rise up and resist the only kind of prophylaxis that can help them? What the hell is the matter with this person? Rise up? You rise up and do your job or get the hell out.

KYLIE MAR: A short time earlier, Atlas appeared on "Fox News" where he urged families to get together for Thanksgiving despite the pandemic.

SCOTT ATLAS: And this kind of isolation is one of the unspoken tragedies of the elderly who are now being told, don't see your family at Thanksgiving. For many people, this is their final Thanksgiving, believe it or not. What are we doing here?

KYLIE MAR: Cuomo believe this is especially dangerous because of the people who will heed Atlas' advice.

CHRIS CUOMO: What the hell are you doing here? Yeah, it could be their last Thanksgiving if you expose them to people who aren't wearing masks, who aren't socially distancing, and haven't been doing so, and haven't gotten tested, 'cause they somehow think they don't want to get in on the con of COVID.

KYLIE MAR: And Cuomo believes Atlas will someday have to answer for it.

CHRIS CUOMO: You have to answer for that kind of guidance, let alone as a doctor. Do no harm? Invite grandma? This could be her last Thanksgiving? Yeah, if you invite her to a place where she can get sick and die. [SIGHS]
