Chris Cuomo compares Lindsey Graham to 'lemmings of alt-right groups'

On Cuomo Prime Time Thursday night, Chris Cuomo went after Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for his recent comments concerning the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump. After House impeachment managers played video of the violent insurrection at the Capitol on January 6, which Trump is accused of inciting, Graham called the move by the managers “offensive and absurd.” Graham also parroted one of his Republican colleagues and questioned whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may have had something to do with the chaos that day, despite the fact that Pelosi was one of the targets of the insurrectionists.

“The dangerous unknown is what will happen next when the worst of us realize their attack was seen as righteous by the right. That takes us to Senator Graham. He may have secured top billing with every alt-right and white nationalist group in this country by echoing their animus,” Cuomo said. He later added, “I have only heard that from this senator and lemmings of alt-right groups on social media and my radio show. Those are the only people. That's who he's echoing, and he's doing it on purpose.”

- On "Cuomo Prime Time" Thursday, Chris Cuomo tore into Republican Senator Lindsey Graham for comments he's made concerning the ongoing second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.

Not only has Graham ripped impeachment managers for showing video of the violent insurrection at the Capitol on January 6, which Trump is accused of inciting, but Graham questioned whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a target of the insurrectionists, had anything to do with the melee.

CHRIS CUOMO: I have only heard that from this Senator and lemmings of alt-right groups on social media and my radio show. Those are the only people. That's what he's echoing. And he's doing it on purpose.

- Graham has made his position in this impeachment trial very clear from the beginning, and Cuomo called him out for having much different standards during the impeachment trial of former president Bill Clinton.

CHRIS CUOMO: That man voted to convict a president for lying about a sex act, but he won't hold one accountable for an act of terror. And now he is spewing the same poison as the extremist perpetrators.

- And Cuomo warned Graham against the recent rhetoric he's used.

CHRIS CUOMO: The next time is on you, brother Graham, and the others who are willing to ignore the obvious and play to the odious.
