Hundreds of people are lining up outside of Chris Brown’s Los Angeles residence in order to buy his second-hand designer goods after he announced a two-day yard sale to his 57 million social media followers.

The 30-year-old singer-songwriter has been teasing the sale on his social media for over a week with videos of himself and his team organizing a variety of items in his home. And just one day before opening it up to the public, Brown finally announced the time and his Tarzana, Calif. address with a flyer on Instagram. There, he shared that the sale would take place from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM PT on Wednesday and Thursday and would feature “significantly marked-down, high end designer items.”

Brown’s fans immediately started commenting on the photo to share their excitement over the sale, as well as some concerns about the star providing his home address to millions of people.

“Oh you for real having this at your house like you’re not a global superstar,” one person commented, while another said, “hope your neighbors are ready.”

According to social media posts by local news reporters who were on-site, it seems that nobody could have been prepared for the people who started lining up hours before the sale opened, and continued to show up throughout the day.

NBC Los Angeles reporter Mekahlo Medina even reported that Brown’s security had to negotiate with the city to allow the sale to take place over the two days. A representative from the Los Angeles Police Department tells Yahoo Lifestyle that its officers stood by while building and safety personnel were on site.

“On November 5, 2019 LAPD was requested to provide an escort for personnel from the Los Angeles department of building and safety due to a large crowd at a private residence,” the representative wrote via email. “LAPD did not have any criminal enforcement activity at the location and stood by while building and safety personnel completed their business with the responsible party at the property.”

Tweets revealed that there were armed security guards letting 20 people into the cul de sac at a time where they shopped for items laid out under tents.

After opening at 10:00 AM PT, reporters spoke to the first customer to emerge from the yard sale who talked about the deals he got on clothes and shoes.

He revealed that he spent $470 total on the items. Brown himself was nowhere to be found.

Fans on social media continued to post about the event, including those from far away places who pleaded with Brown to sell some items online. Many pointed out that this isn’t the first time that the Grammy award-winning singer has shared his address with the public. During an online spat with Migos rapper Offset back in February, Brown even said, “My address ain’t to no secret spot,” after mentioning that he could easily search for it on Google Maps.
