Chris Brown channels his inner Curtis Mayfield in an ad for his new weed strain. On Friday (Oct. 28), the Virginia native released a commercial for his new business venture.

Set to Mayfield’s “Pusherman,” the ad shows Brown hitting a weed facility/store. The multihyphenate could be seen smoothly dancing through troves of weed plants and snagging elaborately colored bud bags.

The video ends with the phrase “Bussin,” referencing the title of his brand-new strain. Breezy’s strain was created in partnership with Originals. Shaggy Brown of the Originals also took to social media to celebrate their new partnership with Brown and their new cannabis brand, OHB Farms.

“My bro @chrisbrownofficial had a blast all night, my bro Brandon @originalsfamilyfarms was lit all night too & Pat @thecurecompany was all over the place enjoying himself too,” Shaggy typed. “Salute to our family & team on all levels from the growers, budtenders, trimmers, janitors, security, to the director of sales & everyone else that is responsible for making things happen for us!! I can’t even begin To explain the love I felt from everyone last night that recognized what we are about to do this cannabis industry!!”

“One love to the real city of LA for Love you showed us , it was heart felt from all of us!! Yeah We turned up for the city big time!! If I invited you personally to come celebrate with us last night, I Thank you all from the bottom of the my heart for coming out!! I love you all!! I need Yall to Get ready to go clear out all the #bussinfrom the shelves next week at @originals_shopla too!! Thank You.”

According to Black Cannabis Magazine, Chris, Shaggy, and the Originals have worked on the joint venture since 2021. “Bussin” is apart of a mission to bring forth weed that “[delivers] an authentic cannabis experience, setting it apart in a market often skeptical of celebrity-endorsed products.”
