Chris Brown addressed Tinashe’s claims that she “blocks out” working with the Virginia singer. On Sunday (Sept. 17), Chris hopped in the Instagram comments of a page resharing her interview with the Zach Sang Show. “NAME 5 TINASHE songs or die…. EVERYBODY DEAD,” he began, before continuing on another post. “She full of dat evil. Shawty career is nonexistent. What’s more embarrassing is that she worked with all these people, and not one of us could save her career.”

Joyner Lucas also had some choice words for “weirdo celebrities” dissing Chris Brown. “There will be no Chris Brown slander tolerated,” he said. “I’m talking about you weirdo celebrities that go on these podcasts, and keep poppin’ sh*t on my ni**a for absolutely no f**king reason. Bi**hes making faces and sh*t. I’m standing in front of the f**king bullet, I’m taking every shot.”

“These are the same people who advocate against bullying and being treated fair but then wanna sub bro and smear him in front of the world,” Joyner continued. “I ain’t gonna watch it go down no more and not step in front of every bullet… shout out to my bro for not [losing] his sanity at this point.”

During a recent interview with the Zach Sang Show, the “Aquarius” singer opened up about recording with R. Kelly and Brown. She detailed that her then-label RCA made her record with the disgraced singer.

The songstress also expressed confusion about RCA wanting her to work with Chris. “You think I wanted [to record those songs]? I literally block out that R. Kelly song from my mind — I forget that it even exists,” she said while looking stunned and disgusted. “That is so embarrassing. That is so unreal that I even have a song with R. Kelly.”

Sang then referenced the backlash Tinashe received at the time due to working with both singers. He explained that the “public perceived it as you doing [it] willingly,” but did acknowledge that because of her label, Tinashe had “lacked a lot of control.”

“Especially when it comes to singles,” Tinashe added. “Like, for example, that song with Chris, that was a song that… we all wanted it to be this big moment — this big single. So I feel like in [the label’s] mind, they were like, ‘You need the support.’ And [Chris Brown] was their biggest artist that they had on rhythmic radio at the time… I was like, ‘Well, this is a pop song, so I really don’t feel like we should put Chris on it like that. I don’t like that,” she recalled. “That doesn’t compute to me.'”

Tinashe worked with R. Kelly on “Let’s Be Real Now” in 2015 for his The Buffet album. Around the same time, the actress-turned-singer collaborated with Chris for her single, “Player.”
