Chris Brown’s ‘11:11’ Debuts Top 10, Reportedly Receives Career-Low First Week Sales

Chris Brown’s eleventh album, 11:11, has been receiving great feedback, despite reportedly garnering the lowest first week sales of his career thus far.

Not only has the album received a 2024 Grammy nom for its lead single, “Summer Too Hot,” but has also debuted top 10 on Billboard’s 200 chart upon its release.

The dual-disc peaked at No. 9, earning just over 45,000 album-equivalent units, according to Luminate data reported by HipHopDX.

Reportedly, the last time Breezy received low first-week sales of the same caliber was in 2017 with Heartbreak on a Full Moon. His highest has been with 2007’s Exclusive – which sold 295,000 units its first week.

The 34-year-old announced the early release of 11:11 on Nov. 8, which originally was set to drop on Nov. 11. The album, which plays on the number 11, generated much anticipation as the “Call Me Everyday” crooner‘s last release was 2022’s Breezy. Uniquely, the project contains 11 songs on both Side A and B.

The Virginia native revealed the 22-song tracklist earlier this month, which included musical assistance from Davido, Lojay, Byron Messia, Victoria Monét, Future, and Fridayy.

In the Best R&B Performance category at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards, Brown’s “Summer Too Hot” will go up against SZA’s “Kill Bill,” Victoria Monét’s “How Does It Make You Feel,” Coco Jones’ “ICU,” and Robert Glasper’s “Back To Love” featuring SiR and Alex Isley. The award show will premiere on Sunday, (Feb. 4), live from Los Angeles.
