Taco Bell is going to fill the Choco Taco-sized hole in your heart.

The ice cream truck staple was discontinued in July 2022 but the fast food spot is bringing their take on Klondike’s Choco Taco this summer with help from Salt & Straw,

Taco Bell is partnering with the Portland-based ice cream brand to create their version of the beloved treat.

The taco shells are made with waffle cones, just like the original, and filled with cinnamon ancho chile ice cream instead of the vanilla with chocolate swirls that the discontinued version had. The dessert is dipped in chocolate and topped with toasted brown rice rather than the OG’s peanut pieces.

And there's another twist on the nostalgic treat: sauce packets. Just like the fast-casual Mexican chain’s hot sauce options, the Choco Taco will be served with custom sauce packets. Some of the flavors have a kick, like the chocolate chili or mango jalapeño, but the cinnamon wild berry has less spice. Plus, the dessert is served with cheesecake dip.

The dessert will be available nationwide at Salt & Straw's scoop shops and online for nationwide shipping, according to Salt & Straw’s Instagram. While a specific date has not been confirmed, the post says they are coming this summer.

The internet was ablaze after Choco Tacos were discontinued in 2022. At the time, Chrissy Teigen shared a screenshot of PEOPLE's story confirming the news to her Instagram Story along with her own reaction.

"Everyone always takes this sh-- for granted when it's around. Never choosing it over a Snickers ice cream bar so that's what u get don't go crying now," Teigen wrote. "U never cared before. U don't deserve him!!!"

Similarly, Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit and husband to tennis star Serena Williams, proposed his plan on Twitter to keep the tasty treat on the market.

"Dear @Unilever — I'd like to buy the rights to your Choco Taco and keep it from melting away from future generations' childhoods," Ohanian wrote.

A few weeks following the heartbreaking announcement, a representative at Klondike confirmed to PEOPLE that there are plans to bring it back.

"We knew the Choco Taco was a fan favorite, and the decision to discontinue the product was a tough one to make," the ice cream brand said in a statement to PEOPLE. "The overwhelming support for Choco Taco has certainly made us reconsider our long-term plans."

"The team is working on a plan to bring it back, though it may take some time," they added. "There are currently no definite timelines for bringing the Choco Taco back."
