Chistmas dance show to be held in Shamokin

Dec. 7—SHAMOKIN — A Valley dance studio will host a holiday event for all ages Friday in Shamokin.

Heath's Gym Dance Crew, and local band, The Codi and Joe Show, both of Trevorton, are teaming up to put on "The Coal Region Christmas Spectacular," according to Codi Gaboff, dance instructor and singer of the Codi and Joe Show.

"It's our biggest event of the year, and we cannot wait to show everyone what we've been working on," Gaboff said. "It's so much fun to bring all of my projects together for a big holiday event!"

The event is set to take place at 6 p.m. at the Northumberland County Arts Center, on Arch Street, with nearly 60 dancers, 26 unique dance routines, unicycling elves, dancing dinosaurs, fun skits, and an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus, Gaboff said.

Some highlights include a Taylor Swift "Eras" themed production, a glowing wing routine, and two student-choreographed solos from the crew's senior dancers.

Doors open at 5 p.m.. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.
