Chipotle names new CEO, Baidu higher in midday trade, and Twitter touts independence

Chipotle (CMG): Shares are ripping higher in early trading. The fast casual Mexican chain named Taco Bell CEO Brian Niccol as its new chief executive, hoping new leadership will help get Chipotle back on track.

Baidu (BIDU): Shares are higher in midday trade. The Chinese search giant beat on both the top and bottom line, despite coming under heavy competition from Alibaba.

Twitter (TWTR): Shares are in focus today. At the Bloomberg Small Business Summit last night, CEO Jack Dorsey poured cold water over acquisition talk, claiming “there’s a lot of strength to [Twitter’s] independence.”
