Chillicothe Civic Theatre presents Disney's Finding Nemo Jr.

CHILLICOTHE — Just keep swimming, just keep swimming all the way down to the Chillicothe Civic Theatre as they present Disney's "Finding Nemo Jr."

The show follows the plot line of the movie but adds a musical twist that helps guide audiences through the story. The giant puppets and colorful sets bring the big blue world to life right on stage.

Director Tom Pairan said he it is "exciting" seeing everything come together, including the many puppets that had to be created for this performance. The puppets are new to the civic theater stage so that coupled with the larger cast size makes this show unique.

"There are a lot of exciting things happening with this show," said Pairan.

Cassie Irwin, 10, plays Nemo in this production. This isn't her first time on the stage as she said she performed a lot when she was younger and more recently in the production of "Winnie the Pooh." She said she is excited to watch the play and get to see the entire production with all the lights and effects as it will be "magical." She is also delighted for people to see the scene where she gets kidnapped as that is her favorite part to play.

"It's the one time I get to have sass and have fun with it," said Irwin.

The Chillicothe Civic Theatre will perform Disney's Finding Nemo Jr. from Feb. 8 to Feb. 11. and Feb. 15 to Feb. 18. Tickets are available online.
