Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas has a new view on marriage.

During a recent appearance on Fox 5 Atlanta's Portia lifestyle show, the TLC singer, 53, revealed that her boyfriend, Matthew Lawrence, has helped erase any fears she once had about tying the knot.

"I don't have any fear at all when it comes to him," she told host Portia Bruner on the show's Monday, May 13 broadcast.

“It is just the way he is as a man, you know?" Chilli continued of Lawrence, 44, whom she's been dating since late 2022. "He is a good guy. He has an amazing heart and I mean, he checks off all of my list — except for a few I don't know yet — but we'll figure that part out."

Chilli also echoed comments she has made previously about the easygoing vibe the pair enjoys in their relationship. “This is the first time that we have both experienced being in a relationship to where, I mean, there's no drama at all," she told Bruner. "We get along and we have differences but we, still to this day, we've never had an argument."

"I don't even understand why we would have to have an argument in the first place," she said.

Back in April 2023, Chilli told PEOPLE that Matthew is "perfect" for her. "I love everything about him," she said at the time. "I love him and I like him, and that's important. That is so important. You know what I mean? I like everything about him, every little thing. I mean, he's perfect for me."

She said the pair shares a unique and "very real" connection. "You know, isn't that just the chemistry," Chilli explained. "It's not forced. It's real. You know? It's very real."

For his part, Matthew noted to Entertainment Tonight in March 2023 that his life has been "in complete bloom" since meeting his girlfriend. "I get to spend time with an amazing woman like Chilli," he said. "I've never gotten to be able to experience that kind of relationship before. She's really, really special."

He even hinted that kids could be in the couple's future. "That's the game plan. That's what we're trying to do," he told ET.
