The 2nd annual Children’s & Family Emmys took place on both Saturday and Sunday night at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. But Disney Channel separately win an additional 8 — giving the Walt Disney Co. a commanding victory overall.

The most honored programs of the weekend were Netflix’s “Lost Ollie” and HBO/Max’s “Sesame Street,” which both scored five trophies. Also among the night’s big winners: Jack Black, who won his first Emmy ever, in the Outstanding Voice Performance In A Children’s Or Young Teen Program category for voicing “Po” on Netflix’s “Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight.” “It’s been the role of a lifetime. I’ve had so much fun over the years,” he said.

The main Children’s & Family Emmys, which took place on Sunday night, was hosted by Christopher Jackson. Presenters are expected to include Tommy Davidson (“The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder”), Raven-Symoné (“That’s So Raven”), W. Kamau Bell (“1000% Me: Growing Up Mixed”) and his daughters Samaiyah Smithanne Bell and Juno Chrisanne Bell, Leslie Carrara-Rudolph and Abby Cadabby (“Sesame Street”), Nonso Anozie (“Sweet Tooth”) and Momona Tamada (“ONI: God’s Thunder Tale”).

On Saturday evening, presenters included Tamara Almeida (“Jane”), Ceci Balagot (“Monster High: The Movie”), Eric Bauza (voice of Bugs Bunny and others), Tantoo Cardinal (“Spirit Rangers”), Nayah Damasen (“Monster High: The Movie”), Miia Harris (“Monster High: The Movie”), Sonia Manzano (“Alma’s Way”), Ava Louise Murchison (“Jane”), and Ed Weeks (“Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight”).

Also set to appear is Lifetime Achievement Honoree Peter Cullen.

Peter Cullen, known as the voice of Optimus Prime, on the 1980s animated series “Transformers,” received the Lifetime Achievement Honor at Sunday’s event. Cullen, whose credits also include voicing Eeyore from “Winnie the Pooh,” as well as voices on “Disney’s Duck Tales” and “Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers,” gave a sentimental speech.

“You’re never too old to get recognition,” he said. “Especially when you’re young, that’s when it’s important, but when you get a little long in the tooth, recognition becomes a strong friend. To help you through the many rejections as an actor you might receive over the course of a career year. And gratefulness becomes a strong feeling for many of us.”

It’s a busy weekend for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The 50th Daytime Emmys took place live on CBS this Friday evening, followed by the Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmys on Saturday afternoon.

Here are winners as they are announced; if no winner is designated yet, that’s because the Emmy will be awarded on Sunday evening.
