Childish Gambino is following through with his promise of a new album. On Monday, the musician dropped Atavista — a reimagined version of his 2020 3.15.20 LP — with two new songs. He also unveiled tour dates for an international run of concerts scheduled for later this year.

“This album is the finished version of ‘3.15.20,’ the album i put out 4 years ago. there’s a special vinyl coming soon w/ visuals for each song,” the rapper wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “The all new childish gambino album comes out in the summer.”

Atavista features most of the original 3.15.20 tracks, none of which were on streaming services, but with new titles and updated production. Atavista includes songs such as “Time” featuring Ariana Grande and “Psilocybae” with 21 Savage, Ink, and Kadhja Bonet, which was originally named “12.38.” The LP also includes new tracks, “Atavista” and “Human Sacrifice.”

Gambino accompanied the album release with a video for “Little Foot Big Foot,” originally titled “35.31,” which now features Young Nudy. The visual was directed by Hiro Murai.

The album and video arrived alongside the announcement of the New World tour. The long-promised tour will see Gambino trek across North America from Detroit to Toronto to Los Angeles. The run will begin on Aug. 11 in Oklahoma City and extend through Oct. 3, when the North American leg will conclude in Chicago. The international leg picks up on Oct. 31 in France, and the tour is currently scheduled to end with a final show in Australia on Feb. 11, 2025.

He’ll bring Willow on the road with him for the North American dates before heading to Europe and the UK with Ghanaian American star Amaarae. The musician last hit the road in 2019 for the This Is America Tour.

Tickets for the New World tour are set to go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 17, at 10 a.m. local time. American Express cardholders will have access to tickets starting May 15 at 10 a.m.

Gambino is currently in a period of ending an era to begin a new one. Last month, Gambino teased two new songs featuring Kid Cudi and Kanye West on his Gilga Radio show. Those tracks will seemingly be featured on the second of two albums he says will be the last he’ll drop under his Childish Gambino moniker. “We’re releasing Atavista, but after that, there’s the final Childish Gambino album — a soundtrack for the fans,” he recently said on his radio show. And while they wait for that to arrive, they have a chance to join him on the road.
