Childish Gambino Signs New Record Deal, New Music Expected in 2018

Donald Glover has partnered with RCA Records

Donald Glover has signed a new record and label deal under RCA Records, with his management company/creative agency Wolf + Rothstein forming a partnership with the company. According to Variety, new Childish Gambino music is expected “later this year.” In a statement, Glover called the new record deal “a necessary change of pace.” His first three studio albums were issued by the indie label Glassnote, home to bands such as Phoenix and Chvrches. Now, he joins a roster that includes SZA, Justin Timberlake, and more.

Last year, Glover teased that the next Childish Gambino album would be the final one. He’s set to perform at this year’s Grammy Awards, where he is up for five awards, including Album of the Year for “Awaken, My Love!”.
