Childish Gambino Debuts New Song "Saturday" on 'SNL'

After his opening monologue, Donald Glover debuted new music and delivered a Migos parody featuring ASAP Rocky.

Saturday was a big day for Childish Gambino fans.

Not only did he return with a stunning Hiro Murai-directed video for a new song called "This Is America," he also hosted Saturday Night Live, where he debuted another new song called "Saturday." Filling the stage with a group of musicians, dancers, and extras, Donald Glover delivered an upbeat, soulful performance that continues to move away from his hip-hop beginnings—although fans of his early music should be happy to hear him rap on "This Is America."

Outside of the performances, Glover also delivered an opening monologue, parodied the Migos in an ASAP Rocky-featuring video, and appeared in several other sketches.

After the opening monologue, he appeared in a sketch called "The Kanye Place."

Glover also appeared as in a sketch as Lando Calrissian to host a summit for all of the black people in space:

Alongside Kenan Thompson and Chris Redd, he played an inmate who traded stories while working as a customer service agents.

In a "Courtroom" sketch, Glover played a lawyer who defends Jurassic World theme park after the deaths of park visitors.

He also joined Heidi Gardner and Pete Davidson in a pitch about interns pitchinf captions for Barbie's Instagram account.
