Rapper Childish Gambino, aka comedian, actor, writer, director and producer Donald Glover, dropped a new album, a new video and an announcement about The New World tour on Sunday. It’s coming to Tampa’s Amalie Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 4, with support by Willow. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 17.

Glover’s new album, “Atavista,” is streaming now. It is the finished version of “3:15:20,” the album he put out four years ago, Glover announced on X, along with the news of a special vinyl with visuals for each song coming soon. He also said that an all new Childish Gambino album comes out this summer.

The video for single “Little Foot Big Foot” featuring Young Nudy is on YouTube. It’s directed by Hiro Murai, the director of the FX series “Atlanta,” which Glover created and starred in from 2016 to 2022.

Speaking of a foot, Glover fractured his during his performance at Wild Splash in 2012 in Clearwater.

Glover became famous for his role on the NBC sitcom “Community,” but prior to that wrote for Tina Fey’s sitcom “30 Rock” at just 23 years old.

In 2018 as Childish Gambino, he released the single “This Is America” with a provocative video that shot the song to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
