Grammy-winning rapper and singer Childish Gambino — also known as actor, writer and director Donald Glover — has been teasing a summer tour.

On Monday, he made it official — and it includes a Milwaukee stop.

Gambino's "The New World Tour" — which will take him across North America, Europe and Australia — will include a Fiserv Forum show on Aug. 14 with special guest Willow, singer-songwriter and daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.

The tour announcement came after Gambino surprise-dropped his latest album "Atavista" early Monday morning, the finished version of an album previously known as "3.15.20" that came out in 2020, while also saying on X (formerly Twitter) that an all-new Childish Gambino album will come out this summer. On Monday, Gambino also released a new music video for "Little Foot Big Foot" directed by frequent collaborator Hiro Murai.

The Milwaukee show will be the first Childish Gambino concert in Milwaukee in a decade, following a 2014 show at the Rave's Eagles Ballroom. (Although Glover hasn't completely forgotten about Milwaukee, or that venue; the Rave got a mention in an episode of "Atlanta" in 2022.)

Since that concert, Glover's become a sensation in multiple fields — from his acclaimed Emmy-winning FX series "Atlanta," which he created, wrote for and starred in; to co-creating the Amazon series "Swarm"; to starring roles in "The Lion King," "Solo: A Star Wars Story" and, most recently, Prime Video series "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"; to winning five Grammys, including song and record of the year for "This Is America" in 2019.

Tickets for Gambino's Milwaukee concert go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the box office (1111 N. Phillips Ave.) and fiservforum.com. Fans can sign up for presale access at thenewworldtour.com, and American Express card members can purchase tickets early beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Prices have yet to be announced.
