The Kansas City Chiefs dodged more than an elimination on Sunday.

After Kansas City defeated the Buffalo Bills 27-24 at Highmark Stadium on Sunday, Chiefs players, including stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, were the targets of a one-sided snowball fight while they exited the field.

In a video shared by NFL Network reporter Cameron Wolfe, 28-year-old Mahomes is seen dodging snowballs thrown by disappointed Bills fans as he enters the locker room.

In another clip from the game's broadcast, Kelce, 34, waves and blows kisses to Bills fans as snowballs fly toward the NFL star and his teammates.

After fans began sharing the video clips online, Chiefs-centered outlet Arrowhead Live wrote, "Saw @DTranquill bouta post up with a Bills fan that was throwing snowballs at him after the game," tagging Chiefs' Drue Tranquill in the post on X (formerly Twitter).

Tranquill, 28, shared the post and wrote, "I caught the snowball. If it didn’t break in my hand, it was getting launched right back at him."

The Chiefs linebacker added, "We’d beat them in a snowball fight too. Truth is, my four year old throws a meaner snowball than #BillsMafia."

The Chiefs reportedly got a chilly reception elsewhere at the stadium. After the game, Chiefs' Donovan Smith alleged that Highmark Stadium shut off the hot water in Kansas City's locker room.

Smith, 30, wrote, "Damn caught a L and they shut our hot water off… smh its all good we got that Dub today #ChiefsKingdom," in a post on X.

After the game, Mahomes told reporters he knew tensions would be high when the Chiefs came to Buffalo. "I was very excited," Mahomes said, per ESPN.

"It was going to be a great environment being in here in Buffalo. I'd heard about it," he said, adding, "I knew the fans were going to be rowdy, going to be hostile."

Mahomes continued, "But you appreciate the greatness of organizations and going in week in and week out and packing the stadium and being fans. I obviously love playing Arrowhead, but it is cool to go on the road for a playoff game and be able to come out to win this one.''

The two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback told the media he loves playing at the Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium "in front of that crowd," but explained, "When you're on the road, it's you versus them, it's you versus everybody in the stadium, and you have to come together as a team, and the guys do that."

Mahomes added, "You saw that in the game today," crediting his team for the big win.

Next, the Chiefs will take on the Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens for a chance to compete in Super Bowl LVIII.
