Despite the decline, Chick-fil-A still pushed through to the top.

The restaurant was followed by Jimmy Johns, Domino’s KFC, Chipotle, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Arby’s, Five Guys, Papa Johns, Burger King, Little Caesars, Panda Express, Subway, Dairy Queen, Dunkin’, Sonic, Wendy’s, Jack in the Box, Taco Bell, Popeyes, and McDonald’s in last place in the study.

“Amid the pandemic, restaurants needed to quickly up their game in the mobile arena. With fewer resources, smaller chains and independent restaurants are offering apps that aren’t making the grade per customers,“ said Morgeson. In contrast, positive shifts in both mobile app quality and reliability for several larger chains appear to reflect major app updates for these bigger industry players.”
