Two more are checking out of Chicago Med.

Showrunners Diane Frolov and Andy Schneider, who’ve helmed the hit medical drama since its 2015 debut, are stepping down from their post at the end of the current Season 9, TVLine has learned.

The pair revealed their imminent departure in a joint statement on Tuesday.

“We were honored to be chosen by Dick Wolf to run Chicago Med and have tremendously enjoyed our association with Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television,” it read. “We love Chicago Med and have devoted all our creative energies to it, but after nine seasons we feel it’s time for us to move on and explore other possibilities. We’ve been privileged to work with a great writing staff, production team and a brilliant cast of actors. We will miss them all.”

Executive producer Dick Wolf added, “We’re grateful to Diane and Andy for nine fabulous seasons of Chicago Med. They helped us give NBC a #1 bonafide hit for almost a decade.”

Their replacement has yet to be revealed.

This comes after several series-regular exits during Season 8, beginning with the departure of Guy Lockard, who played ED pediatrician Dr. Dylan Scott, in the season opener. Original stars Brian Tee (aka Dr. Ethan Choi) and Nick Gehlfuss (Dr. Will Halstead) also said goodbye to the show after eight years, with both of their characters reuniting with their departed love interests, April Sexton and Natalie Manning, respectively. Additionally, Asjha Cooper, who recurred as resident Vanessa Taylor, was written out when her character decided to take a job in the Philippines.

Chicago Med is the second spinoff of Chicago Fire, following the crime-driven Chicago P.D., which debuted in 2014. (All three #OneChicago shows have been renewed for an additional season.)

Returning cast for Season 9 include Oliver Platt (Dr. Daniel Charles), S. Epatha Merkerson (hospital head Sharon Goodwin), Marlyne Barrett (charge nurse Maggie Lockwood), Dominic Rains (Dr. Crockett Marcel), Steven Weber (Dr. Dean Archer) and Jessy Schram (Dr. Hannah Asher).

The season also welcomed newcomers Luke Mitchell, who joined the staff as Dr. Mitch Ripley in the premiere, and Sophia Ali — who recurred on Grey’s Anatomy as intern Dr. Dahlia Qadri — as Dr. Zola Ahmad.
