Justified alumna Joelle Carter has signed on for a co-starring role opposite Philip Winchester and Nazneen Contractor in Chicago Justice (fka Chicago Law), the next installment of Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise for NBC.

The planted spinoff will be introduced in Episode 21 of Chicago PD this season, which will be directed by Jean de Segonzac. Carter will play Lori Nagle, a tough-as-nails investigator.

Spearheaded by Wolf, Chicago Justice is produced by Universal TV and Wolf Entertainment. It will be the fourth installment in the Chicago franchise and Wolf’s fifth drama on NBC.

Carter co-starred on all six seasons of FX’s Justified, earning a supporting actress Critics’ Choice nomination in 2015 for her role as Ava Crowder. She most recently appeared on ABC’s Scandal. Carter is repped by Innovative and Forward Entertainment.
