After a low scoring contest in their opening game victory over the Detroit Pistons, the Chicago Bulls got back to what they do best and that’s scoring the ball as they defeated the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, 128-112.

Zach LaVine led the way once again with 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.

DeMar DeRozan scored 26 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 assists as he attacked the basket all night long, hitting 8-of-9 free throws.

Lonzo Ball finished with his first triple-double of the season with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Check out the individual player grades below.

Lonzo Ball: A

Lonzo Ball was all over the place on Friday night, making his impact felt in all aspects of the game as he snagged his first triple-double of the season along with 3 steals and 1 block. That’s what Lonzo can do as he’s one of the most well-rounded, versatile guards in the league.

Zach LaVine: A

Zach LaVine is a consistent scoring machine with his second straight 30-point effort. At this point, that’s what you expect from LaVine night in and night out. With his consistent shooting and scoring ability playing alongside playmakers in Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan, look for LaVine to continue this all season long.

DeMar DeRozan: A-

DeMar DeRozan showed why the Bulls signed him this offseason on Friday as he was aggressive attacking the basket against the Pelicans. Playing alongside LaVine surely opens up opportunities for DeRozan to be an over-qualified second scorer for the Bulls and he showed that in Friday’s win.

Nikola Vucevic: B

Playing alongside this Bulls starting lineup, Nikola Vucevic doesn’t have to score the ball like he did in Orlando. On Friday, Vucevic only scored 10 points but affected the game in so many different ways with 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks.
