French luxury shoe brand Roger Vivier always provides immersive experiences when unveiling new collections, and the spring-summer 2024 season was no different. Themed “Les Éléments Vivier,” the collection spanned over four floors, highlighting art and the best shoe savoir-faire in Paris’ 8th district on Thursday.

As guests arrived, things got a little cramped downstairs as no one was allowed up while Cher was getting a private tour. “I have been buying Roger Vivier shoes for more years than I’d care to admit. It’s so beautiful to see what [creative director] Gherardo [Felloni] is creating now with this incredible brand. I continue to be a fan,” said the “Turn Back Time” singer in collection notes.

Cher wasn’t the only celebrity in attendance. Oscar winners Michelle Yeoh and Laura Dern joined Emily in Paris castmates Camille Razat and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, along with Eve, Poppy Delevingne, former French First Lady and singer Carla Bruni, CODA star Emilia Jones and Olivia Palermo.

For the event, Felloni partnered with Italian set designer Leila Maria Fteita, whose work has reached the La Scala Theater in Milan. On the ground floor, the sub theme of “The Craft of Color” was an ode to French Impressionist painter Claude Monet and his gardens in Giverny. A bridge surrounded by garden foliage with flowing water underneath brought Monet to life. It’s also in this space that pieces from the collection done in watercolor tie-dye were on display, including the multicolored Viv Choc bag. On each floor were live demonstrations of craftsmen designing shoes and bags with Roger Vivier know-how.

The “Heart of Passion” was the sub theme for the second floor. Hearts, reds and pinks were boldly on display with shoes and handbags. The “I Love Vivier” slender pump slingback heel shoe was one of these, a reimagined shoe with leather lattice work. The “Shape of Lightness,” the sub theme of the third floor, was a nod to the swinging ’60s with a fluffy white carpet, which were supposed to be fluffy clouds. Large displays of the brand’s iconic Viv Canard shoe, designed by Mr. Vivier himself and reimagined by Felloni, were highlighted as well. And the final floor, sub themed “An Air of Preciousness,” featured satin minaudière box clutches, graphic sequined drop earrings and bracelets and enameled floral hair clips and matching headbands.
