Cher is stepping out for a pre-Grammy Awards party with her boyfriend Alexander "AE" Edwards.

On Thursday, the pop superstar, 77, and Edwards, 38 — who went public with their relationship in November 2022 — smiled for photographs as they posed on the red carpet at the Warner Music Group pre-Grammys event held at Citizen News in Los Angeles.

For the party, Cher wore a pair of bedazzled gray jeans and a black off-the-shoulder top for the outing, accessorizing with a single silver sequin glove and matching jewelry.

Edwards posed beside his partner in a long black coat, adding a silver chain to his casual look.

During their appearance at the event, the couple made sure to stop by the singer's Cherlato station, the gelato company she launched last year with Giapo Grazioli of the New Zealand-based ice cream company Giapo.

While noshing on the goodies, PEOPLE spotted Edwards feeding Cher a bite of the sweet treat.

The night marked Cherlato's first-ever ice cream parlor, and featured a variety of flavors, including a special recipe by Cher's mom. The event also included performances by Charli XCX and Teddy Swims.

Cher's outing came after she appeared visibly emotional during a remote court appearance in L.A. on Monday amid her request for a temporary emergency conservatorship to be placed on her son Elijah Blue Allman, 47.

The musician has an ongoing conservatorship case amid concerns over Allman's wellbeing, however, a judge denied her temporary emergency conservatorship request again on Monday, saying that there was not “sufficient evidence” to agree to it.

Throughout the hearing, Cher appeared distraught as her attorneys discussed her concern for her son's health and safety.

The singer's attorney explained that she had filed the temporary injunction because she sees her son's situation as being serious, and because she "feared that her son would not be alive within the year” due to two alleged ongoing issues, including a “history of drug use” and his “schizoaffective disorder” diagnosis.

The lawyer stated they were expecting to receive a bipolar diagnosis for Allman from a “leading physician.”

“Cher was told by doctors that if she did not take this step as his mother that he will once again end up on the street,” the attorney said.

Despite the judge's ruling against the temporary emergency conservatorship, he did add, “I don’t question Cher’s concerns being driven by concern for her son. I don't think [Allman] questions that.”

However, he stated much of what they were arguing was based on “fears” and hypotheticals, ruling: “That in and of itself is not basis for the court to appoint a probate conservatorship. I have not seen the evidence to grant a temporary, emergency conservatorship as of today.”

The judge also stated Allman has proved “he has managed his finances,” “has an apartment,” and "has remained drug free” after submitting “several drug tests.”

The ex parte motion had previously been dismissed earlier in January due to Allman and his attorneys not having enough time to review the paperwork.

On Monday, the judge also ruled that a further hearing in the ongoing proposed conservatorship case would take place on March 6.
