Chelsea Handler Reveals She Is Dating Mystery Man Who Is 'Full of Love and Positivity’

The 'Chelsea Lately' star's new relationship comes a little over a year after she split from comedian Jo Koy

Love is in the air this fall for Chelsea Handler!

The former Chelsea Lately host, 48, made waves on Wednesday when she revealed a new mystery man in her life. She posted a sweet snap on her Instagram story of her kissing her new beau on the cheek and raved about him in the caption.

"This is my baby," she wrote over the picture showcasing her man's smile.

"He is full of positivity and his body is my wonderland," she continued, making a sweet nod to singer-songwriter John Mayer's 2001 hit "Your Body Is a Wonderland."

"I love my baby and now I get to go back to work," the comedian added, referencing the Writers' Guild of America (WGA) strike, which began May 2 and officially ended at 12:01 a.m. this morning, bringing a conclusion to the historic 148-day work stoppage in Hollywood.

The actress then took the chance to remind fans of her two upcoming shows this weekend, which will be held at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, wrapping up her post with, "There are still tickets for Saturday show!"

Prior to her mystery man, Handler was in a relationship with actor and comedian Jo Koy. The former couple split in July 2022 after 11 months of dating.

That December, the actress opened up about the "difficult" breakup on a candid episode of Brooke Shields' Now What? podcast.

"I really believed that this was my guy," she reflected on the split at the time. "I thought, 'Oh my God, I won.' Like I got everything. I have my career, I have respect, I have my family, I have so many friends, I have all of these things. And then I thought this was gonna be the person I spend my life with."

"Towards the end of the relationship, it just became clear that this was not my person," she added. "There were just some behaviors that we couldn't agree on… It felt to me like I would have to abandon myself, which maybe I would have been OK to do if I were 20 or 25, but I wasn't willing to do that. No matter how much I loved this person — and I loved him so much — I was not going to abandon myself."

This July, Koy, 52, shared his own thoughts on their former relationship and made it clear that he harbors nothing but "the best love" for her.

"She’s a beautiful person, and, you know, we’re still friends,” the Easter Sunday star told Page Six of his ex. "She’s doing beautiful things right now. She’s crushing it right now, so I have nothing but the best love for her."
