Phil Keoghan at the "Megaleg" Pit Stop in 'The Amazing Race 36'

This week's episode of The Amazing Race 36 will be a doozy, as the remaining 8 teams will compete in a "Megaleg." That means two legs crammed into one marathon day, including double the Detours and double the Roadblocks. Therefore, what you choose can be crucial to making sure you don't far too far behind. Or, in the case of the clip below, who you choose with.

In the exclusive clip above, we see dating couple Ricky Rotandi and César Aldrete and military pilots Juan Villa and Shane Bilek struggle on a Detour. Assumingly taking on the roles of an Argentinian gaucho, then men are tasked with riding a fake horse and throwing bolas to hit a moving cow target. However, they only get ten throws to do so. And as Juan and Ricky's attempts show, they did not miss a calling in life as ranchhands.

They are soon joined by a big group of three teams: Dating couple Amber Craven and Vinny Cagungun, mother/son team Angie and Danny Butler, and married couple Rod and Leticia Gardner. However, the sixsome only take a few steps into the task before they realize how difficult it is. Angie and Danny and Amber and Vinny quickly decide to swap Detours. They inform Rod and Leticia, who then join them.

Of course, the alliance between Angie and Danny and Amber and Vinny has been at the forefront of both teams' narratives for the past couple of episodes. While the couple helped the mother and son at the statue Roadblock, they returned the favor in the skateboarding Roadblock last week. What's interesting, though, is the inclusion of Rod and Leticia. If there's a pact between these three teams to work together to survive the "Megaleg," that can either mean many hands make light work, or too many cooks spoiling the broth.
