Charlize Theron on what it took to transform into Megyn Kelly for ‘Bombshell’
Charlize Theron tells Yahoo Entertainment she credits Oscar-winning special effects makeup artist Kazu Hiro for transforming her into Megyn Kelly. In 2018, Hiro won an Academy Award for Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling for “Darkest Hour,” starring Gary Oldman. “He knocked it out of the ballpark,” Theron says. “His work is flawless in this film.” John Lithgow, who plays former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, also praises Hiro’s work. “As soon as he put that face on, I was like ‘wow, give me more.’” “Bombshell” also stars Margot Robbie as a Fox News worker and Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson. The movie tells the story of the women who claim they were sexually harassed by Ailes. Kelly and Carlson, both former employees of Fox News, made claims against him.
