Charlamagne Tha God is not a fan of Kanye West’s recent antics associated with his appearance on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast and joining the war against Drake. Ye jumped on the remix to Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” and the polarizing radio host went off on the 47-year-old artist while giving him a new title.

“[Ye] is the leader of the Legion of Lame, okay?” Charlamagne said on a recent episode of The Breakfast Club. “What a hating a** human. Like, what type of man sits around and says we were all energized by the elimination of another man? This man is so miserable and has never dealt with whatever hurt and pain he’s feeling and he just wants to project it onto other people.”

He was so disgusted by West’s behavior that he urged Kendrick Lamar and others to disengage from their feud with the 6 God. “Don’t you be a part of the Legion of Lame, Kendrick. Okay?” he said. “Future, you neither. Run from [Ye]. Metro, what are you doing? All of y’all should be running from [Ye]. […] [Ye] done made the whole thing corny. It was entertaining until he brought his jealous, envious a** into the picture. So lame.”

Charlamagne Tha God also brought up his 2018 interview with Kanye West and how he was “hating” on Drake and Virgil Abloh back then. Apparently, in a deleted part of the interview, Ye claimed that they “took the culture from him.”

Drizzy addressed West and Abloh’s relationship on his 2018 diss track “Duppy Freestyle” with the lines “I could never have a Virgil in my circle and hold him back because he makes me nervous/ I wanna see my brothers flourish to their higher purpose/ You ni**as leeches and serpents.”

Charlamagne’s rant came as a surprise to many, given the fact he and the Toronto superstar haven’t had the best relationship over the years. However, he and many fans aren’t fond of the “Carnival” artist jumping into several rappers’ beef with Drake, especially after acting like a victim for so many years when it was just a one-on-one.

Kanye West addressed several aspects of his disdain for Drake during his conversation with Justin LaBoy. “Every bar that Drake said means nothing anymore,” he said. “Drop and give me 50,’ ain’t nobody dropping to do sh*t. Your raps don’t mean sh*t, ni**a. It doesn’t mean [anything because] the sh*t is artificial. Lucian [Grange] and Drake, all this sh*t is artificial.”

He believed that the collective of Future, Metro Boomin, Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, and more were doing a service for the greater good of music by taking The Boy down. “We saving the world,” he asserted. “You take Drake and Lucian out, that just alters everything. Cause that’s such a controlled thing they have. The algorithm, the way they work together to fix the numbers, and all that.”

Ye also hinted at the idea that the father of one may not be a good person. “The thing with Drake is morality and likability are not connected,” he said. “They’re usually the opposite. Usually, the most immoral people are the most likable. If I say ‘I like Drake,’ it’s not because he’s a good person. It’s because I like him.”
