Channing Tatum's Failed, Sweaty 'Fast and the Furious' Audition

Channing Tatum was onJimmy Kimmel Live!, where he talked about a film franchise he missed out on being a part of — The Fast and the Furious. Host Jimmy Kimmel asked the Magic Mike star about his worst experience auditioning for a role. “That was The Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift,” Tatum replied. “I stopped in the middle of the audition like, ‘I think we’re done, right? Like, this is terrible.’ … But I think it was — it was probably a combination of me being just bad, not remembering the lines; like, totally freaked out. I was probably sweating a lot.”

With three more Fast and Furious movies coming to theaters, Tatum might get his shot down the line. But before he was a household name, the film’s producers didn’t seem too heartbroken he failed to land the part. “They didn’t even try to stop me [from quitting],” Tatum said, smiling. “They were, like, ‘All right. It’s probably a good idea.’”
