Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan Tatum Split After Eight Years of Marriage

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum have split after nearly nine years of marriage, the couple announced on Monday.

In a statement shared on Twitter, the couple said they had “lovingly chosen to separate as a couple.”

“Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now,” the couple wrote. “There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision–just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.”

They continued, “We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly. We won’t be commenting beyond this, and we thank you all in advance for respecting our family’s privacy.”

The duo first co-starred together in Anne Fletcher’s 2006 dance film “Step Up” as a hip hop dancer and ballerina who cross paths at a prestigious dance academy. They married in July 2009 and gave birth to a daughter, Everly, in 2013.

Under the umbrella of their company, 33andOut Productions, Tatum and Dewan Tatum currently serve as executive producers on the YouTube Red series “Step Up: High Water,” which premiered in January. Their production company has four films in development, including an origin film about Peter Pan and Captain Hook called “Neverland.”
