Channing Tatum and HBO Max are on the hunt for the 'Real Magic Mike' in new reality series

"We gonna see if he still got some Magic in that Mike," a wise Rome (played by Jada Pinkett Smith) once said. And that's exactly what HBO Max and "Magic Mike" alum Channing Tatum will set out to do with their latest project.

HBO Max announced Friday a new series with the working title "The Real Magic Mike," an unscripted competition from Eureka Productions and Warner Bros. set to debut on the streaming service later this year.

While it's unclear whether the original crew – including Magic Mike (Tatum), Richie (Joe Manganiello), Ken (Matt Bomer), Dallas (Matthew McConaughey) and Tito (Adam Rodriguez) will make a comeback – viewers can expect fresh faces.

"The Real Magic Mike," according to HBO Max, will be an "exhilarating and sexy series that will transform a group of men into real-life Magic Mikes."

The competition series will follow "10 men who have 'lost their magic'" and "bare their souls and more as they evolve their bodies, learn to perform spectacular routines and develop a new level of self-confidence."

"As they strip off their clothes," the press release added, "they will rid themselves of emotional baggage and regain their mojo but only one will be the Real Magic Mike."

The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize and the opportunity to perform on the blockbuster Magic Mike Live stage in Las Vegas.

The OG Magic Mike himself, Tatum, who starred in 2012's "Magic Mike" and 2015's "Magic Mike XXL," will be an executive producer on the new series. Filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, who directed the first "Magic Mike" movie, will executive produce alongside Tatum.

"We're excited to work with Channing, Steven and the team behind Magic Mike Live to continue this successful franchise that celebrates self-confidence and sexiness both inside and out."

A nationwide casting search for the HBO Max's "The Real Magic Mike" is currently underway.
