Channing Dungey to Exit Netflix as VP of Original Content

Channing Dungey’s Netflix tenure was short-lived. She is leaving the company after only 20 months as vice president of original content to pursue another opportunity, an individual with knowledge told TheWrap. Her last day is Friday It is not known what opportunity Dungey is pursing. But her departure comes at the same time Warner Bros. TV is looking for a replacement for Susan Rovner, who had served as president of Warner Bros. TV and was seen as the successor to Warner Bros. TV Group chairman Peter Roth. Earlier this week, Rovner was named chairman of NBCUniversal’s entertainment programming division. Last month, Bejaria was named Netflix’s global head of television, which coincided with fellow VP of original content Cindy Holland’s departure.
