Chance the Rapper and his wife, Kirsten Corley, are going their separate ways.

The former couple took to social media to announce they've decided to divorce, sharing a joint statement on Wednesday, April 3.

"After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together," the note shared to Corley's Instagram Stories read.

"We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition. Thank you," it continued, before being signed off by both parties.

Chance and Kirsten officially began dating in 2013, going on to become first-time parents with the arrival of their daughter Kensli, 7. They also share 4-year-old daughter Marli. After a brief split in 2016, they made amends the next year.

The estranged pair tied the knot in 2019 in a lavish star-studded ceremony attended by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Dave Chappelle and more. Even before getting married, the two had been together for several years, after meeting at both their mothers' (who worked together) office Christmas party when The Voice judge was just 9 years old, according to People.

At the time, he remembered the moment fondly, recalling when he first laid eyes on Corley, the "prettiest girl in the world."

The Coloring Book hitmaker's relationship has long been a source of inspiration for his music, and was referenced on many of his songs, including throughout his 2019-released debut studio album, The Big Day.
