Chance The Rapper Shares Surprise Christmas Mixtape With Jeremih

Surprise!

In the middle of the night when no one was looking, Chance The Rapper quietly uploaded an eight song Christmas-themed mixtape with Jeremih called Merry Christmas Lil' Mama. Featuring guest appearances from fellow Chicago residents including Noname and Hannibal Buress​, the holiday soundtrack doubles as an ode to Chicago (which Chance made clear through a "For Chicago" note on the project's SoundCloud page).

Similar to the out-of-nowhere Based Freestyles mixtape that Chance released with Lil B in 2015, it looks like Merry Christmas Lil' Mama came together very recently—as Jeremih announced the project to his fans through an Instagram photo from the studio featuring Monday's copy of The Chicago Tribune next to Chance's signature "3" hat.
