Chance the Rapper announces fall tour

From his instant-classic guest verse on Kanye West’s “Ultralight Beam” to his vibrant third mixtape Coloring Book, Chance the Rapper has dominated the hip-hop world in 2016. And on Tuesday he shared plans to take his ebullient brand of gospel-rap on the road later this year.

In September and October, the 23-year-old Chicagoan will hit 19 cities as part of his Magnificent Coloring World Tour. The string of dates kicks off September 15 in San Diego and concludes October 21 in San Francisco. (Though it makes plenty of stops outside of the Golden State.) The tour includes Chance’s headlining appearance at the just-announced inaugural edition of the Meadows Music Festival, slated for October 1 and 2 in Queens. Prior to the Magnificent Coloring World Tour, Chance will perform at festivals including San Francisco’s Outside Lands and Philadelphia’s Made In America.

The tour’s poster also says it’ll include “special guests.” They haven’t been announced yet, but given Chance’s cachet, it’s safe to assume he’s lined up some intriguing names to fill out the bill. The rapper promised that European dates for the tour will be announced soon.
