Marcel Sabitzer scored what might be the most stunning goal of this nascent Champions League campaign in a 2-1 RB Leipzig win over Zenit Saint Petersburg on Wednesday.

Sabitzer’s slicing volley just shy of the hour mark gave RB Leipzig the lead in stunning fashion (via Bleacher Report):

Sabitzer did well to settle Lukas Klostermann’s cross and compose himself before the dynamite finish.

After falling behind on Yaroslav Rakitskiy’s first-half goal, Konrad Leimer equalized for RB Leipzig, setting up his own tight-angle finish with a dummy run at the top of the move:

RB Leipzig is now first place in Group G with six points. United States international Tyler Adams didn’t make RB Leipzig’s matchday squad, but he returned to training recently after recovering from groin and foot injuries and could make his season debut in the near future.
