SEE Monte Taylor (‘The Challenge: USA’) on his 3-hour arena battle with Tyler: ‘It was one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done’ [Exclusive Video Interview]

The 15 challengers still fighting for the top prize are Wes Bergmann, Michaela Bradshaw, Cassidy Clark, Tyler Crispen, Tori Deal, Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, Michele Fitzgerald, Chanelle Howell, Josh Martinez, Sebastian Noel, Faysal Shafaat, Alyssa Snider, Chris Underwood, Cory Wharton and Desi Williams

10:00 p.m.Previously on “The Challenge: USA”! The challengers’ strategies shift after host TJ Lavin announces that the team competition has concluded and they enter the individual phase of the game. After Tori and Bananas won the challenge they nominated Tyler and Alyssa for elimination. When Monte Taylor’s name came out of the hopper, he took on Tyler in the game “Too Cool for Spool” and Alyssa was declared safe. After a grueling contest that lasted nearly three hours, Tyler finally came out on top and sent his “Big Brother” ally packing. Let’s see how things are shaken up tonight!

10:05 p.m. — After returning to the house Tyler as a newfound confidence, but knows it will be a rocky road moving forward without Monte. Alyssa is thrilled because she’s already in love and totally obsessed with Tyler. But can “Big Brother” get the target off their backs? Meanwhile, “Survivor” is going strong with seven members still in the game. How long will it take for them to crack? Tori and Sebastian are curled up in bed, but Faysal observes how terrible this could be for their games.

10:06 p.m. — The next morning Michaela has a talk with Chris. She thinks he’s “all over the place” and doesn’t think he’s “Survivor strong.” She feels there’s an attack on “Survivor” from “Big Brother,” but maybe she should focus on the fact that there are only two “Big Brother” players remaining and she just aligned herself with two of the best vets in “Challenge” history. Is that her best move? Michaela tells Chris people are sketched out about how he’s moving through the house. Chris says he’s just playing with people that he likes — which includes Cory, Faysal, Sebastian and Josh. Michaela says it would be foolish of her to think Chris has her best interest at heart.

10:10 p.m. — The players arrive at their next challenge. TJ explains the game “Speed Jumps.” It will be played in two stages. In the first stage, everyone will get their own mini trampoline. The height has been adjusted for each of them. They will jump on the trampoline to look over a wall. On the other side of that wall is a giant board with numbers on it. Every number that they see, they will have to add up, write the number on their chalkboard, race it over to TJ, and if it’s correct, they’re good. The top three men and the top three women will move on to stage two. Sebastian quickly finishes first. Nobody else is even close, failing on multiple attempts. Eventually Chanelle, Faysal, Tori, Josh and Michele finish in the top six.

10:20 p.m. — In stage two, players will start on top of a trampoline being pulled by a semi-truck. As it flies down the runway, overhead will be three different colored flags. They must jump up to grab flags, which are each worth a different amount of points. They can’t take an entire rope with them, just one flag at a time. The top man and the top woman to score the most points will win today’s challenge and select two people to send into the arena and put at risk of elimination. Here is each player’s score: Faysal (10), Sebastian (9), Tori (6), Josh (5), Michele (2) and Chanelle (1). Faysal and Tori have won this challenge — Tori remains the only woman to win a challenge since this became an individual game.

10:25 p.m. — Tyler is hopeful Faysal will keep him out of the arena this week. Even though Tori might be gunning for Tyler, he and Faysal competed together on “Big Brother.” Faysal says that for him it makes more sense to finally get a “Survivor” player out of the game. Bananas is feels completely comfortable. Faysal confides in Cory and Chris that he’s disappointed he’s making his decision with Tori. If he were making the decision himself it would be either Wes or Bananas going in. I’m not sure why Faysal thinks he just has to bend over backwards and do whatever Tori wants. Later, Chris gets an anniversary call from his wife and baby. All this attention on Chris this episode leads me to believe he’s heading straight into the arena, but we’ll see.

10:30 p.m. — Tori and Faysal go into deliberation. Tori would like to nominate Tyler and Alyssa again. Faysal would like to put two “Survivor” players in because none of them have gone home yet. Faysal immediately gives in, allowing Tori to say Chris, even though he’s one of Faysal’s top allies and roommate. Tori decides that if Faysal compromised, she will have to as well. They decide Cassidy will be nominated for the women. Tori explains to Cassidy that she’s scared that if she votes in Desi, Michaela or Chanelle, she will piss all of them off and they’ll be gunning for her. Faysal apologizes to Chris as Bananas laughs. Bananas LIVES for these uncomfortable moments in the house. Chris feels personally attacked by Faysal and now has “zero regard” for anything Faysal has said to him to this point.

10:35 p.m. — The challengers head to the bar to blow off some steam. Sebastian suggests to Tori that they vote Cory into the hopper, which gets a “big yikes!” from her. Sebastian continues to go around, suggesting Cory to others. This could backfire on him big time! Will people just throw his name into the hopper instead? The girls he approaches seem reluctant to vote in Cory. Meanwhile, Chris is trying to save himself and make this a women’s elimination. He tells everyone that “Survivor’s” best shot is for Cassidy to go in. Michaela quickly relays this to Cassidy. Chris is being shady though, telling Cory he should vote in Michaela or Chanelle to take out Cassidy. Cory tells this to Michaela, and she’s completely done with Chris at this point. Hilariously, Chris tells Cassidy he’s voting in Michelle — so at this point Chris has thrown every single “Survivor” girl under the bus even though they’re supposed to be in an alliance.

10:45 p.m. — Cory confronts Sebastian about him throwing his name around. Sebastian deflects and blames Chris, knowing Chris is acting foolish and maybe everyone will divert their attention that way. Cory doesn’t believe him and tells Chris. Chris seeks the help of “Challenge” vets and approaches Bananas, Wes and Josh. They tell him he’s put himself in a tough position. Michaela loves watching Chris’ game fall apart. What’s next? The players each drop their anonymous votes into the hopper. Next, they all head to the arena. TJ introduces Chris and Cassidy before revealing the hopper votes: Sebastian (6), Tyler (5), Alyssa (1) and Bananas (1). He revs up the hopper and pulls out Sebastian. Cassidy is off the hook.

11:00 p.m. — Sebastian and Chris will play “Trick, Trick, Boom.” To begin, opponents will start on giant towers filled with balls. They will race down a ladder and gather three barrels with flat panels on top of them, line them up perfectly with their corresponding colored barrel and race back to their tower and start throwing balls to make the perfect trick shot. They must bounce a ball off all three panels into the colored barrel. Once they make that colored barrel shot, they’ll have to make a second trick shot with a sideways panel. The first one to hit all five panels and sink it into the black barrel will win this elimination. Chris is the first to make a shot. Sebastian quickly follows and this is still anybody’s game. It’s a solid battle to the end, but ultimately Chris sinks a ball in the black barrel first, making Sebastian the first “Survivor” player eliminated. Sebastian will head home and Chris will have to go back in the house and pick up the pieces of the game he shattered over the past few days.
