Tonight on “The Challenge: USA,” challengers must navigate a slippery situation when they battle it out in a physical wrestling match, on this episode titled “Slippery Business” airing Thursday, September 28 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS (and available the next day on Paramount+).

Among the CBS cast members are three people who previously won their seasons: Michele Fitzgerald (“Survivor: Kaôh Rōng”), Josh Martinez (“Big Brother 19”) and Chris Underwood (“Survivor: Edge of Extinction”). “MTV Challenge” vets are Wes Bergmann, Tori Deal, Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, Amanda Garcia, Jonna Mannion and Cory Wharton. How will these six all-stars now fare when competing with CBS reality favorites? In the end, only one man and one woman will emerge victorious, taking home $250,000 each. Follow our live blog below.

The 12 challengers still fighting for the top prize are Michaela Bradshaw, Cassidy Clark, Tyler Crispen, Tori Deal, Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, Michele Fitzgerald, Chanelle Howell, Josh Martinez, Faysal Shafaat, Chris Underwood, Cory Wharton and Desi Williams.

10:00 p.m.Previously on “The Challenge: USA”! Alliances were tested after host TJ Lavin announced another double elimination. Meanwhile, as the connection between Alyssa Snider and Tyler grew, so did the target on their back. After Michaela and Faysal won the challenge they nominated Chris and Alyssa for elimination. When Wes Bergman’s and Cassidy’s names came out of the hopper, the four competitors took part in a game called “Ripped Off.” After two close matches, Wes and Alyssa were sent home while Chris and Cassidy returned to the house.

10:05 p.m. — The challengers return home from the arena and Chris knows his back is against the wall. Right now he considers Tyler and Faysal his biggest adversaries. Cassidy also considers herself a lone wolf and knows she has to finish the game on her own. Tyler is sad to lose Alyssa, but considers Faysal his right-hand man, so at least he still has one friend in the game. Meanwhile, Cory plots for the future, hoping to build a strong crew of females around him — namely Michaela, Desi, Chanelle and Tori. He hopes building side deals will help cover him on all sides, with vets and CBS players. He has an emotional phone call with his family, Cory is more determined than ever to win his first challenge.

10:10 p.m. — It’s a new day and time for a new daily challenge. TJ explains “Slippery Business,” where the contestants will be doused in oil and put into a ring for combat. They’ll do whatever it takes to get their opponents out of the ring. The last man and woman standing will win today’s challenge and be safe from elimination. They’ll also nominate one man and one woman to put in tonight’s arena. Nobody enjoys oiling themselves up than Bananas, who is putting on quite a show. The men are first and everyone quickly attacks Chris like hyenas on a lion. He puts up a good fight but is quickly eliminated first. Michaela calls it “cowardly” from the sidelines.

10:15 p.m. — After Chris’ elimination the wrestling match continues. Now it’s time to go after Tyler. Tyler wasted a lot of time standing around earlier watching Chris get attacked. Maybe he should have stepped in and tried to throw Bananas out of the ring while he had the chance. Well, everything is easy in retrospect. Tyler gives it his best shot, and even though he’s eliminated next he takes Bananas out with him. The battle continues and Desi notices Faysal hasn’t done anything the entire time. He’s just watching everything play out. Josh goes out next and it’s Faysal vs. Cory. This is a fight! And despite Faysal’s cocky attitude throughout the entire match, Cory knocks him out and pulls out the victory. Cory says he plans to protect Bananas, Josh and Faysal in deliberation.

10:20 p.m. — The women are up next and Tori looks like the common target. I’m a little surprised it’s not Cassidy, but perhaps the others are just saving her for later. To be clear, this is a tough battle. Tori takes some hits to the face, particularly from Michaela, but she’s out first. The match continues and these women are way more brutal than the men. This is so entertaining to watch. Kicking, punching…nothing is off limits! Michele is the next to go, courtesy of Michaela. Next, Michaela takes out two women at once — Cassidy and Desi. This girl is not playing around! The final two standing are Michaela and Chanelle. They are scrapping hard and this is a pretty epic battle. Rain begins pouring down just to add to the drama. After a hard-fought fight, Michaela wins her second daily challenge in a row. This was by far the best challenge of the season so far. Now Michaela and Cory will head back to the house and nominate one man and one woman to put at risk of elimination.

10:30 p.m. — Michaela wants the best shot at winning, which means some of these people in the house who have already won a challenge need to go. Chanelle tells Desi that Michaela is considering throwing Tori in the arena. The strong girl alliance is losing a little bit of trust in Michaela. Later, Michaela comes in and confirms she wants to take a shot at Tori. Chanelle understands why Michaela wants to go after Tori, but Michaela’s game isn’t at risk, Desi’s and Chanelle’s are. Michaela says someone has to take the bullet because if they don’t nominate her nobody else will. Time passes and Cory and Michaela sit down to deliberate. Michaela wants to take a risk and throw in Tori. Cory is hesitant and wants to protect Tori because she’ll protect him. Michaela wonders why Tori and Michele seem to be off the table for pretty much everyone in the house. Cory wants to nominate Cassidy, but Michaela doesn’t see any benefit of that. She gets irritated and at this point Cory and Michaela are arguing. In the end, instead of going big they go small, nominating Tyler and Cassidy. Michaela chooses to throw in Tyler over Chris, hoping she can pull Chris over to her side.

10:45 p.m. — Cory tells Tori that Michaela threw her name out in deliberation, so now not only did Michaela not get what she wanted, but Tori is pissed at her anyways. It’s a lose-lose for her, but luckily she’s safe today. Tori and Michele want Michaela to feel the heat and plan to recruit as many people as possible to throw a guy’s name into the hopper. This way no girl will go home and Michaela will just have to deal with the consequences. The men are game for that and plan on voting in Chris to take on Tyler. The next morning Michaela is still pitching a girl’s day and extends an olive branch to Chris. He says he’s fine voting for a girl to go into elimination. At this point, Desi, Chanelle, Michele and Chris all plan to vote for Tori. This could get interesting! The time comes to toss in their secret votes and we’ll see the results down in the arena!

10:50 p.m. — The challengers arrive at the arena and TJ introduces Tyler and Cassidy as potential competitors. Next he reveals the hopper votes: Tori (3), Chanelle (1) and Chris (6). TJ revs up the hopper and tonight’s elimination will be Tyler vs. Chris. Cassidy is safe and Michele has lost all trust in Desi, Michaela and Chanelle. A line in the sand has been drawn.

11:00 p.m. — Tyler and Chris will play “Barrel Tag.” They’ll each start standing on a barrel. They’ll use another barrel to place in front of themselves, allowing them to move forward. One person is “it” while the other tries to run away, by just using the barrels over and over again. Whoever tags their opponent the fastest will win tonight’s elimination round and stay in the game. Chris tagged Tyler in 1:20 and Tyler tagged Chris in 1:52. Chris has prevailed once again! Tyler heads home, saying, “This was the experience of a lifetime.”
