Chadwick Boseman Says 'I'm Dead' Every Time He's Asked About Avengers: Endgame Spoilers

Chadwick Boseman Says 'I'm Dead' Every Time He's Asked About Avengers: Endgame Spoilers

Chadwick Boseman is committed to staying away from Avengers: Endgame spoilers.

The Black Panther actor, 41, was one of the fan-favorites who vanished at the end of last year’s Avengers: Infinity War after bad guy Thanos (Josh Brolin) snapped his fingers and erased half of the world’s population.

As press for the movie heats up before it hits theaters on April 26, Boseman is having a harder time dodging questions about the Marvel epic that puts together the most superheroes in franchise history. The actor met a particularly prodding interviewer at CinemaCon last week, and his repeated response that he was “dead” has since gone viral.

In the interview, Boseman is asked how he feels about fans being so excited for the movie.

“It’s great, but I’m dead,” he says with a knowing smile. “So I can’t answer any questions about that.”

Boseman then keeps answering questions by simply saying, “I’m dead,” even as the interviewer tries to ask about Black Panther 2.

And when the journalist says fans aren’t ready for him to be dead, Boseman simply responds, “But I am.”

The 22-second video has gone viral on Twitter, where one user made it into a meme.

“When people ask you for help but your work shift just ended,” the user wrote next to the video of Boseman repeatedly saying, “I’m dead.”

Meanwhile, other fans are praising Boseman for his commitment to not spoil anything.

“I hope other actors/actress taking notes on how to not spoil movies that haven’t been released,” the user wrote.

Avengers: Endgame will count on original Avengers Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) to take on Thanos again and try to reverse the “snappening.” The team is also joined by Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel after she made her debut in the record-smashing standalone movie last month.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26.
