Central Ohio indie-rock duo need your support in contest

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – An indie-rock duo with Columbus roots is bursting onto the national stage.

Bird and Byron need your support to win Nashville’s Biggest New Artists competition.

Blake Bergere (also known as Bird) and Nick Lorenz (aka Byron) are 2015 graduates of New Albany High School.

Now, they’re launching a multi-state tour, coming back to Columbus in June, and their song “By My Side” has been featured on shows like “The Rookie.” Back in 2021, NBC4’s Daytime Columbus paid them a visit.

Bird and Byron are in the running for Music City Mayhem, a competition to showcase emerging talent and help more people experience their music. The winners get a slew of prizes including heavy rotation on a Nashville radio station.

The duo took round one but need your vote to move past round two. Voting closes at midnight on Thursday. To vote, click here.
