Celine Dion posts rare photos of her twins for 9th birthday

Celine Dion posted rare photos of her twin sons, Nelson and Eddy, on Instagram to commemorate their ninth birthday.

The "That's The Way It Is" singer took to the social media app on Wednesday to post the two photos taken during the same photo shoot, sharing a touching message for her sons in the process.

"Double the laughter and double the love. Happy 9th Birthday, Nelson and Eddy!" she wrote in both French and English. "I’m so very proud of my boys. I love you! - Mom xx…."

In the first photo, the boys are smiling for the camera; in the second, they're making silly faces with their tongues sticking out.

Dion, who has described the twin boys as "very independent" in the past, shared them with her late husband, René Angélil, who died of cancer in January 2016 when he was 73. Their older son. René-Charles, is 18 now.

The photos that the singer posted on Instagram give a very rare look at what her youngest kids look like, as she tends not to share many pictures of her sons publicly. The last clear look she's given at her kids was last Christmas, when she posted a full family photo (including their two dogs!) in front of their Christmas tree. Before that, it was their eighth birthday last October.
