There's no such thing as basic for Celine Dion, and the same clearly goes for her Instagram photos.

On Thursday, the "Flying on My Own" singer shared a photo of herself posing in front of a Christmas tree -- and in typical Celine fashion, it was every bit as extra as we'd expect it to be.

In the snap she shared with her nearly 3.9 million Instagram followers, Celine crouches down next to the decked-out tree and looks back at the camera. While we're loving her very glittery holiday dress, it's really her flamboyant shoes that made the shot.

Custom-created for the singer by shoe designer Caitlin Doherty, the design, which features a phoenix on each heel, is named "Courage" after Celine's latest album.

"The symbolism … resembles themes both Céline Dion and a Phoenix have in common, transformation and rebirth," Doherty reportedly explained.

While the intricate creation has left some fans impressed, others were quick to mock the design.

"You’ve got a f-cking chicken on your foot Céline!" tweeted one fan.

"Mama, Are these chicken boots?" commented another.

The singer, 51, has talked about the importance of fashion as not only a form of self-expression, but also as a form of grievance. In 2017, she told People she turned to fashion to help her through the loss of her husband, René, who passed away from a heart attack in 2016 after a long battle with throat cancer.

“I’ve always loved fashion, from as far back as I can remember," she explained. "But as everyone knows, I’ve gone through some extremely difficult times in recent years, and I suppose that I’m spreading my wings a little bit more these days and doing so with the help of beautiful clothing and accessories.”
