Celestial Movies Launches in Korea

BUSAN – Celestial Movies, a movie channel specializing in Chinese-language titles, is to launch in South Korea for the first time.

Celestial Movies is now available, fully subtitled in Koren, on SK Broadband’s linear service “B tv” as well as over-the-top (OTT) services “B tv plus” and “oksusu.”

It delivers a mix of Chinese blockbusters, library titles, special monthly programming and interviews with renowned Chinese stars and directors.

The channel is operated by Celestial Tiger Entertainment, the Hong Kong-based channels group owned by Saban, Astro Overseas and Lionsgate.

“This launch in South Korea is a very important milestone for Celestial Tiger Entertainment as this marks the 16th country for our network footprint,” said Todd Miller, CEO of Celestial Tiger Entertainment.
