Reba McEntire was the first celebrity to get the call from 'The Voice.' The producers of the show wanted a country music singer and what better one than her? After all, she is huge in the country music industry and had her own show for many years.

However, she thought about it for a little while and decided not to take this project on. Besides, McEntire doesn't need the money. She is worth an estimated more than $95 million. If she would have taken on another project, she wouldn't have the time to do the things she really wants to do.

When Reba was called and her manager turned 'The Voice' down, they offered Shelton instead. His fans are sure to be happy about that now seeing as how he has been on the show the whole time from the beginning.

Shelton doesn't just make a lot of money on 'The Voice' but he has made a bigger name for himself and has made some precious friendships along the way. He makes $13 million per season. However, it is the friendships along the way that has made being on the how for him even better.

Not only did Shelton fall in love with Stefani on 'The Voice' but he has become good friends with Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend. He was already friends with them but the show has brought them even closer together.

Adam Levine and Blake Shelton might make fun of each other on the show but that is mostly just for the fans to enjoy. Shelton revealed that the two are really good friends and have been for a long time.

When Levine received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Shelton had some nice words for him. He said, “I’ve never had a more honest and loyal friend than Adam Levine through my personal journey.”

So, yeah, the money is good but the friendships he has made through the seasons is even better and he wouldn't know what to do without them.

With the amount of money Shelton makes from the show, it makes you wonder how McEntire was able to turn it down so easy.
