Some of TV’s biggest names will be duking it out for charity when Celebrity Jeopardy! returns to screens Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 8/7c on ABC.
Hosted by Jeopardy! champ Ken Jennings, Season 2’s upcoming stars include Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Organized Crime), Lisa Ann Walter (Abbott Elementary), Mark Duplass (The Morning Show), Sherri Shepherd (Sherri), Dulé Hill (The Wonder Years), Mira Sorvino (Shining Vale), Timothy Simons (Veep), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Ghosts), Steven Weber (Chicago Med), Emily Hampshire (Schitt’s Creek) and sports commentator Katie Nolan. The rest of the participating celebrities will be announced in the future.

Mayim Bialik hosted last year’s competition, which included names like Patton Oswalt, Constance Wu, Ray Romano, Michael Cera, Hasan Minhaj, Simu Liu and the season’s eventual winner Ike Barinholtz.

Meanwhile, despite the ongoing writers’ strike, Jeopardy! proper returned to the network Monday, with Jennings commanding the spot behind the podium. The host had been facing pressure to follow co-host Bialik’s lead in not crossing the picket line. As previously reported, Season 40 of the mothership will feature — at least in the early going — both recycled questions and contestants (from Season 37).
