On Dec 3, Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds announced on social media that they have ended their engagement.

"To EVERYONE who has been there for us, supported us, and shown us love...We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we've shared together," the pair wrote in a joint statement on her Instagram page.

"Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Thank you for being there for us ALL THESE YEARS! We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH!" she concluded, adding praying hands and a red heart emoji.

The couple said in a statement exclusively shared with PEOPLE: "We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."

The rapper filed for divorce from The Real host on Sept. 14 in Atlanta, Georgia, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE. The couple were married for two-and-a-half years and had a prenuptial agreement in place.

Jeezy's filing said the former couple are "currently living in a bona fide state of separation," and that their marriage is "irretrievably broken" with "no hope for reconciliation."

The document also said that the rapper wants to share joint legal custody of the pair's daughter.

The pair married on Oct. 7, 2018, and "are currently living in a bona fide state of separation," Marcille's attorneys wrote in the filing.

Less than a year after getting engaged, Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun have decided to end their relationship, PEOPLE confirmed Feb. 21.

"Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple," an insider told PEOPLE.

The pop-rock musicians met in January 2021 and released a collaborative single titled "Flames" the same month. They were first romantically linked the following month and got engaged in April 2022.

Ahead of their split announcement, TMZ published photos of the "Girlfriend" singer-songwriter hugging rapper Tyga after having a meal at Nobu restaurant together. The images sparked dating rumors between the two musicians, but a source told PEOPLE: "Avril and Tyga are genuinely friends and nothing more. There was absolutely no third party involved in the split."

A rep for Mod Sun told PEOPLE in a statement at the time: "They were together and engaged as of three days ago when Mod left for tour so if anything has changed that's news to him. Mod will be performing tonight in Portland at The Hawthorne Theater."

While appearing on conservative talk show Gutfeld! on Feb. 9, she was asked by host Greg Gutfeld if she was going to get anything special for Valentine's Day.

Banderas said flatly, "F--- Valentine's Day," adding: "It's stupid. I mean, even when I was married, I didn't get s---."

She then revealed: "I'm getting a divorce. I am going to go ahead and say it right here for the very first time."

Banderas, who shares three children with Sansone, hinted as far back as December that there was trouble in their marriage, tweeting "you mean soon to be ex?" when a fan referenced her husband.

The Real Housewives star revealed that her "complicated" life and the "difficult situation" that she was going through was the cause behind their split.

She noted that Luke was "a trooper" who "went through some things," but ultimately co-parenting sons Dean, 3, and Dylan, 21 months, with her ex-husband was too hard on their romance.

"It was my situation with Michael that affected Luke and I," she explained.
