A surprising pair! Fans were shocked by Harry Styles and Emily Ratajkowski's very public makeout session — and so were some of their fellow celebrities.

The Grammy winner, 29, and the model, 31, were spotted kissing on the streets of Tokyo on Saturday, March 25. In video captured by the Daily Mail, the duo locked lips while leaning against a parked van in the Japanese capital. Later in the clip, the pair danced in the rain.

John Legend — whose song "Dope" could be heard playing in the background of the twosome's steamy moment — joked that he was "happy to help" Styles and Ratajkowski set the mood. "Make out to #Dope," the Oscar winner, 44, joked via Instagram on Sunday, March 26, reposting footage of the duo's kisses. "Everybody's doing it."

Prior to his PDA with Ratajkowski, the "Watermelon Sugar" crooner was in a relationship with Olivia Wilde. The U.K. native and the Booksmart director, 39, called it quits in November 2022 after nearly two years of dating.

The former couple connected on the set of Wilde's film Don't Worry Darling after Styles replaced Shia LaBeouf in the role of Jack. The duo first sparked romance rumors in January 2021 after they were photographed holding hands while attending the wedding of Styles' friend and agent Jeff Azoff.

Ratajkowski, for her part, split from husband Sebastian Bear-McClard in July 2022 after four years of marriage. The estranged pair share son Sylvester, 2.

After the split from the film producer, 36, the My Body author was linked to Brad Pitt before she began a romance with Pete Davidson. The Gone Girl actress and the Saturday Night Live alum, 29, dated for two months before calling it quits in December 2022.

Ratajkowski later moved on with Eric André, who posted a photo of the duo hanging out while nude on Valentine's Day. Several days later, the I Feel Pretty star seemingly confirmed her split from the comedian, 39, when she posted a TikTok video about a "situationship" that had recently ended.

Earlier this week, a throwback video of Styles seemingly admitting to having a crush on Ratajkowski went viral after “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast host Amanda Hirsch shared the clip via Instagram on Sunday. She captioned the video, “Harry manifested this.” Eagle-eyed fans, however, later noted that Styles was actually saying that Ratajkowski was his One Direction bandmate Liam Payne's celebrity crush.
