Chester Bennington dead: Tributes from celebs

Chester Bennington, the frontman for Linkin Park, has died at age 41, following an apparent suicide. Soon after news of his death broke Thursday, people from the entertainment industry ranging from talk show hosts to rock bands to rappers began paying tribute to the late singer on social media.

“Chester was one of the kindest men I’ve had on my show,” Jimmy Kimmel tweeted. “My heart breaks for his family and friends. He will be missed terribly.”

“Chester it was truly a pleasure,” Pusha-T said on Twitter. “Thank you for sharing your greatness.”

His Linkin Park bandmate Mike Shinoda also commented on Bennington’s death, tweeting, “Shocked and heartbroken, but it’s true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.”
