As much as the daytime is devoted to the actual art during Miami’s Art Basel week, the evening brings some of the best music sets, celebrations and previews that — in true Miami style — go on late into the morning. From Peggy Gou’s intimate set, a Grammy winner’s paintings on display in Wynwood, influencer heaven at Nylon House, Offset’s performance during D’usse’s celebration, and a whole lot more, here’s what all the biggest celebrities were up to this year in the 305.

Offset at D’usse’s Art Basel Celebration

Offset brought a medley of hits to Miami during D’usse’s celebration on the beach at Eden Roc. The Migos member performed Set It Off cuts like “Worth It” and chart-topping hits like “Bad and Boujee” in front of a crowd that included Rich The Kid, Leon Bridges, and a fashionably late Chance The Rapper. The cognac brand is developing a reputation for ringing in Art Basel with rap’s biggest stars: last year, D’usse collaborated with legendary tattoo artist Dr. Woo for an event headlined by Ferg.

Doja Cat’s Paintings at the RCA Records Arcade

Doja Cat’s paintings were on display at her label RCA Records’ official pop-up. The paintings might look familiar: titled “Green Horns” and “Half,” they double as the art in the Grammy winner’s “Paint the Town Red” visuals. Obviously an immensely talented musical artist, Doja Cat’s painting instincts might be hereditary: In her 2022 Rolling Stone cover story, the star says her grandmother was a painter.

Janelle Monáe at Delilah Miami’s Grand Debut

This one’s for all the homesick L.A. kids. The West Hollywood staple Delilah now has a Miami counterpart, which made its grand debut onto the scene with a fête to kickoff Art Basel. The new spot is also The h.wood Group’s first east coast offering. The opening included a set by Delilah aficionado Zack Bia and surprise performances from DJ Khaled, Tyga, and Janelle Monáe. Only time will tell if Delilah Miami will become a pop culture fixture like the original, which was the focus of Drake’s For All the Dogs cut “7969 Santa” (a nod to Delilah LA’s 7969 Santa Monica Blvd address).

Victoria Monét at Gallery Art House with Patrón & Meta

If there’s one liquor brand that won Art Basel this year, it was Patrón. The tequila brand hosted a series of kickbacks-by-day, celebrations-by-night at Gallery Art House on San Marino Island, powered by Patrón El Cielo and Patrón El Alto (two of the brand’s newer products). On Saturday, Victoria Monét pulled up to the Meta Infinity party where she tried her hand at some VR games and a tequila ice luge.

Peggy Gou at Palm Tree Basel

With the success that the Palm Tree Crew folks have had this year, it’s only right they cap it off with a bang at Art Basel. Enter one of the biggest DJs and producers of the moment, Peggy Gou, for a rare, intimate set, and you have the ultimate kickoff to Art Week. Earlier this year, the globetrotting dance festival brought their electronic music prowess to the Hamptons for sets from Calvin Harris and founder Kygo.

Alix Earle & Braxton Berrios at Nylon House

Perhaps the crown jewel of Art Basel’s party circuit, Nylon kept their commitment to doing it big with another iteration of their “Nylon House” series. Having already hosted “Nylon House” at Art Week and Coachella before, the pop culture conglomerate hosted the celebration (that sometimes felt like a trade show) inside a massive tent right on the beach. As one TikToker put it, it was a who’s who of who’s on Raya. Miami’s power couple Alix Earle and Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios held court in the tent as Solange remixes filled the air. Popup Bagels, a TikTok-fueled viral phenomenon that started in New York and flew south (much like many of Art Basel’s attendants) handed out samples. Meanwhile, dozens of “a day in my life”-ers waited by the doors, waiting to be let in to influencer nirvana (presented by e.l.f. Cosmetics, of course).

Mexican superstar Sofia Reyes followed up her Milamores release by pulling up to Art Basel and performing at the Don Julio x Felipe Pantone Por Amor celebration. Located at the iconic Temple House in South Beach, Reyes played some cuts off her new album as well as the 2022 collaboration with Becky G, “Mal de Amores.” How fitting: “Pa’l mal de amores, tequila con canciones.”

John Summit at Ocean Drive’s Art Issue Launch

Miami’s own John Simmit has had quite the year. In March, he picked up his first top ten hit on the Billboard dance charts with “Where You Are.” In November, he announced a new Vegas residency and was placed on the Forbes “30 Under 30” list. And then at this year’s Art Basel, he was the one act that was simultaneously eagerly sought after and also everywhere all at once. On Thursday, he popped up at Ocean Drive’s Art Issue release party for a surprise set before continuing his marathon of a week. Electric-funk duo Chromeo also performed while over 1,000 guests attended the bash at the Fontainebleau’s lawn.

Three-time NBA champion and Miami Heat hero Dwyane Wade swung by Soho Beach House during Art Basel for an epic set from Juvenile during Porsche’s annual “art and music” party. The rapper ran through hits including “Back That Azz Up,” “Slow Motion,” and “400 Degreez,” while the party honored artist Lyne Lucien, who commissioned two special pieces in honor of Art Week.
