Taylor's Response

Taylor said in the post, Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun have now said that I’m not allowed to perform my old songs on television because they claim that would be re-recording my music before I’m allowed to next year”. Basically she cannot do anything with her music until next year and they have complete cruel. This seems deliberate as they are tormenting her. Artists who have been as involved in their own work as Taylor should rights to their music. Whew, the music business is a very cut-throat place. She called for clients of Scooter Braun to speak out on her defense and some celebs did.

Support from BFF Selena Gomez

So many celebs have reached out on Twitter and Instagram to support her. Selena Gomez, her BFF said on Instagram, My heart is so heavy right now, It’s greed, manipulation, and power. There is no heart or thought of anyone else’s. Taylor is the most dedicated, fearless, feisty, strongest woman I’ve ever known”. It is greed, manipulation, and power. Sadly, this is a commonality in the music industry which is run by men. Let's hope other stars supporting her brings her encouragement and hope.

Halsey

Halsey took to social media to protest their outrage. Halsey said, "These people are protected because they inspire complicity with fear," she said. "Banking on the illusion that people will not stand up for her. That the world will say she's overreacting. You're barking up the wrong tree”. Women are showing the most support for Taylor and this is great to see. Halsey has gone through her own situations with the music industry, so it is expected that she will go to bat for Taylor.

Jordan Pruitt

Country singer Jordan Pruitt shared this on Twitter, “Thethings that @scottborchetta + Scooter Braun are continuing to do to @taylorswift13 are not only wrong, "they should be illegal!" she wrote. 'You 'men' should focus your sights on things other than bullying the Artist of this CENTURY. LEAVE TAYLOR ALONE. PERIOD.”

Let’s hope their calls to change actually make a difference cause this is ridiculous. Artists who have been as involved in their own work as Taylor should have rights to their music.
